in other news, I need to get on the boat with the white balance feature on my camera.

and... I'm going to penland again this summer!!! thanks to some grant money and getting into the ayumi horie workshop. I'm feeling like a stalker since i look at her stuff pretty much everyday. I'm such a fan and so excited to be in the same room as her. Penland is such a great experience and the people in and around the community are simply amazing. So i'm thrilled to be going back and saying hi to John Britt and checking out Joy Tanner and Michael Kline's studios.

Congrats on getting into that class at Penland. Maybe my notice will come in the mail today, I've been checking the mail all week hoping for it. Keep your fingers crossed. The pots look great!

Thanks ron, I actually had to email the office to find out. I needed to know so I could take/turn down a summer job. They were quite friendly and said that they were behind on mailing packets out.

do you get a lot of pinholing with that glaze? I'm having an AWFUL time with pinholes with the base glaze I'm using. I'm doing a refire right now to see if they can be healed, but who knows.

beautiful pieces, love the rhino... i'm so envious of your penland trip, what a great time... had some pinholing problems years ago and it is a real drag tracking down the problem.

the base is chun clear and I was having a great time with it for awhile and then whamo, pin holes (that may actually be crawling) I emailed john britt about it and am waiting to hear back. It may be my firing schedule.

i have an old paragon aa6b, needless to say it's no longer being made. :) it has 1 dial and 2 peep holes. I never know what the actual temp is between going from low-medium-high. The more I fire the longer it takes to reach temp and it's crumbling a bit... so it may be dust as well. Anyway.. i'm hoping to solve this by getting my long awaited new fancy skutt next week. hooray skutt.
